How we help
Experience a journey
A journey to help men facing advanced-stage cancers to feel better; to have a laugh and to find relief through humour as well as finding enjoyment through a shared love of sports.
Share with others
A like-minded support network, so that fellow cancer sufferers can connect both in-person and online to feel better mentally, emotionally, and socially.
See the fun side
Sports for all
We invite our members to attend a variety of different sporting events including football, rugby, and cricket, to cater to different interests.
Safe space
We create an environment where men can talk and share experiences but where they can also feel normal by escaping the challenges they face in their everyday lives as a result of their cancer.
Priority access
We provide hospitality where appropriate to make the experience enjoyable, safe, and easy for anyone whose health issues make it a challenge to jostle through crowds.
Transport included
We aim to provide assistance with transportation to events (within a reasonable distance) to place the focus on enjoying the event, rather than the stress of getting there.
Couch friendly
Regular check-in
Casual monthly or quarterly Zoom meetings. No agenda, no expectations. Join in and chat with others, or stay in the background listening in. Only share when you're ready.
Genuine connections
Our community will be moderated by a small team of volunteers who have direct personal experience of cancer.
Online Support
It’s so important to ask for help. Sometimes we just need someone to help us see a different light. We will provide online counselling for when those moments occur.
Like-minded community
A place where men can feel 'normal' as a result of their common experiences - unlike in other parts of their everyday lives, where they may now be feeling left out and isolated.
Everyone is welcome
A love of sport is not a necessary criterion for anyone wanting to share. Feel free to join in your own experiences as well as benefitting from the experiences of others.
